Donald’s wife Lisa presented several styles of shoes and bags from the Pliner collection yesterday on the Home Shopping Network. This was the HSN debut for the Donald J. Pliner line and adds to an already impressive selection of shoe brands HSN currently carries.

Lisa loves Donald’s shoes and said during the taping “I bought Donald shoes before I even knew Donald”.  She added that she did not wear his shoes on their first date however. About mid-way into the show Donald himself called in and talked about several of the featured styles and emphasized that his shoes are designed with comfort in mind. Lisa had already mentioned that every Donald Pliner style has elastic in it somewhere and Donald confirmed that the elastic is for comfort and it allows the shoe to fit well without being tight.

Lisa was wearing a pink top and baby blue slacks. She looked great but we were surprised the camera didn’t show what shoes she wore to the show. Maybe they did and we missed it.

The HSN site is currently featuring seven Pliner footwear styles including the Stretch Slide, Patent Leather & Elastic Sandal with Cork Wedge, Suede Slingback Sandal, Peep Toe Slingback, Metallic Leather Multi-Strap Wedge with Stones, Embellished Leather Thong with Cork Footbed and the Elastic Peep-Toe Sandal. Prices range from $225 to $260. Also featured are four Donald Pliner handbag styles ranging from $310 to $510.

In an interview with Greta Van Susteren on tonight’s FOX News “On the Record With Greta” show, Paris Hilton talked about her new shoe line which will launch tomorrow at Macy’s. The collection will include about twenty styles and will be priced in the $59 - $195 range. Look for platforms, wedges, flats and stilettos.

When asked about her level of involvement in the design process, Paris said the “designers come in once a month … and we go over styles.”

If you’re looking for deals on designer styles check out the Fantastic Finds Under $75 at Piperlime. Right now there are quite a few slides, ballet flats, wedges, pumps, and sandals all under $75. Not all but most sizes appear to be available.

The new display banners have already changed.
