The Fuller Brush Company offers a couple of high quality shoe care products which are being discontinued and are currently on clearance for those of you who are interested. They have a polish applicator and two styles of shoe brushes; a standard shoe shine brush and a rockerback style shoe brush.
All three brushes have lacquered wood handles and use natural horsehair bristles which are very soft and will not scratch or scuff your footwear. It’s a shame they are dropping these products which I believe have been sold for decades.

Short video with ABC News Marysol Castrol and Katrina Szish from InStyle Magazine titled “How to make your shoes last!” featured on Yahoo! News. The link to the actual video was giving us an error so if you follow link then just search for “Szish” and it will appear. Worth taking a quick look at for tips on maintaining shoes.
Use shoe polish or cream periodically. Everyone knows that, right? Especially with winter fast approaching and particularly if you are in a northern climate and salt exposure is likely. Salt and leather do not mix well! Not only will salt damage leather footwear over time but salt stains are unsightly as well.
